NSAA Biennial Meeting

The biennial meeting of the Norwegian Singers Association of America will be held Saturday, July 1, 2006, in the Peace Dining Room, located in the Centennial Union at Luther College, Decorah IA, and will begin at 9:00 a.m.

The order of business of the meeting is:

Acting on applications of new choruses for membership.
Roll call of officers by Recording Secretary.
Credential Committee report.
Reading of minutes of previous meetings (or approval of minutes printed in Sanger-Hilsen).
Report of Director-In-Chief.
Committee reports.
Reports of Vice-Presidents.
Report of Corresponding Secretary.
Report of Treasurer and Auditing Committee.
Report of Sanger-Hilsen (Editor and Treasurer).
Unfinished and new business.
Invitation for next convention(s).
Election of officers.
Report of NSAA President.
Adjournment.

A reminder: Reports by officers and committees (including State Vice-Presidents) are to be in writing and given to the Recording Secretary by the time of the meeting.

Extra copies of Sanger-Hilsen with minutes of the 2004 Biennial Meeting and subsequent NSAA Board meetings will be available.

Credential forms for delegates selected by the choruses will be distributed to the choruses at the time of registration on Thursday, June 29. Notice of number of delegates has been sent previously. Completed credential forms are to be presented to the Credentials Committee and the door of the meeting room.

Articles and By-Laws of the NSAA were printed most recently in the March-April 2002 issues of Sanger-Hilsen. Copies will be available at the meeting.

“ARTICLE XII

By-laws of the Norwegian Singers Association of America can be changed only at a regular business meeting. Two-thirds majority vote of all delegates is required to make such change.
Any contemplated change in by-laws must be sent to the Recording Secretary early enough for him to forward same to Sanger-Hilsen to be printed at least 30 days preceding the national convention.”
