Parade of Choruses

The first event of Sangerfest 2006 will occur on Thursday evening as each member chorus of NSAA will gather to perform as part of a Parade of Choruses. Included in the performance will be special selections by the Veteran’s Chorus, the NSAA Norway Tour Chorus, and Nordlies (Northern Lights), a women’s chorus from Decorah.

Practice venues for each NSAA and guest choir will be provided in the CFL and the Noble-Jensen Hall of Music. Time will be arranged for each chorus to rehearse prior to the Parade of Choruses Concert.

Sangerfest Medals will be awarded during the Parade of Choruses Concert. Award Photos of each chorus’ medal winners will be taken as each chorus enters or leaves the CFL stage.

This committee is chaired by Dr. Jim Gray, a member of Luren’s bass section. Part of Jim’s responsibility is to make sure each chorus moves on stage in a timely manner.
